CHIP provides low-cost health coverage to children in families that earn too much money to qualify for Medicaid. In some states, CHIP covers pregnant women. Each state offers CHIP coverage, and works closely with its state Medicaid program.

If you don’t have insurance or need help with costs that aren’t covered, financial assistance might be available.

They are also an option if you have limited health coverage or no health insurance. The United States Department of Health and Human Resources provides a list of free clinics in your area. If you are a member of a federally-recognized American Indian or Alaska Native Tribe, services are also available through the Indian Health Service.
