The Verge was founded in 2011 in partnership with Vox Media, and covers the intersection of technology, science, art, and culture. Its mission is to offer in-depth reporting and long-form feature stories, breaking news coverage, product information, and community content in a unified and cohesive manner. Google wants students everywhere to begin experiencing the world in virtual reality, specifically by using its low-cost Cardboard headsets and a free field-trip simulation software known as Expeditions.

This course is designed for students who are new to virtual reality and want to learn about the principles of VR technology including optics, displays, stereopsis, tracking, and major hardware platforms. You don’t need any programming experience to get started
